After the power point, it was helpful that we had the opportunity to receive feedback from not only teachers but also students. However, it soon became very clear that we wanted to change our film idea. This was because many of the other groups decided on doing a similar plot, so we wanted to make sure that there was a USP in our film. This caused a slight disagreement in the group because some of the people wanted to stick with the idea whilst others wanted to make a drastic change. An agreement was then made that the film idea was to be changed. In addition, this then led to a lack of focus on what everybody wanted to achieve as there was different opinions by all members. However, though there was disagreements, we finally decided as a group to pursue Love me which is to be created by Nightfall Studios.
This showed how different opinions can change what a film idea is. Furthermore, what we thought was going to be our final idea, changed dramatically as the group wasn't committed to it. However, overcoming this challenge made us stronger as a group as many hours were lost contemplating what idea to have for our media trailer. This was purely down to the fact that we wanted a great idea that the audience of thriller films has not seen often, or if not at all. This is the same case for big Hollywood businesses, they all want to have a great script to go off, in order to make the best film possible to please their demographic. So, this idea was a long time coming and I and the group I am in are happy with the idea we have, and we are more than ready to make a trailer that will not only be great, but will also to conform and challenge common conventions of the thriller genre.
